Lou was born and raised in Salem, VA, located in southwest Virginia. He met Dawn in January 2003 when she became a manager at the Papa John's where he worked in Salem. They had a whirlwind romance and when Dawn found out she got into vet school in August 2003, Lou decided to move to Iowa with her. They got married in August 2005. Lou tried his hand in a number of majors before he realized that he excelled in the sciences. He went to technician school while Dawn was in vet school and they both graduated in 2007. Lou's passion is music (he plays guitar and bass), but because it doesn't necessarily pay the bills, Lou began his career with Queen Creek Veterinary Clinic. Like Dawn, he wanted to own his own hospital, and recognized the potential that Central Mesa Veterinary Hospital had to offer. With a little TLC, they both hope their new practice will become one of the best in the valley.
